We just got back from Honduras, and what a week it was! In just a week, we performed many complex female pelvic reconstructive surgeries. Many of these women had been waiting years for relief from vaginal bulges and urinary leakage—and it was incredibly moving to finally help them get the care they needed.
Beyond the operating room, we also spent a day delivering clean drinking water to rural communities without access to running water. The gratitude we received was humbling. To close out the trip on a joyful note, we gifted our patients with beautiful new dresses to take home, a small gesture to celebrate their healing and dignity.
Each time, we’re reminded of how resilient and thankful people can be, even when living with so little. These moments fuel our commitment to keep serving—and we’re grateful to share this journey with you.
